Anglia Ruskin University’s Department of the Built Environment has achieved outstanding results in the last National Student Survey (NSS)

The Engineering and Built Environment pathway covers the principles underlying the use of materials in engineering applications and their production and control. You will gain an understanding of how applied chemical states and reactions contribute to the engineering process and are used to solve engineering problems. You will also consider how economic and technological developments affect the built environment, as well as learning how to apply mathematical techniques to engineering decision-making.

The common core of the course also provides a broad background to the processes that lead to the production and maintenance of buildings.
