1st Class Accommodation

CRIC offers places in Anglia Ruskin University's Halls of Residence for those wishing to live on either the Cambridge or Chelmsford campus. The Halls of Residence consist of low-rise, modern buildings situated either on or next to each campus. Alternatively, CRIC offers off-campus accommodation through its preferred service providers.

On-campus accommodation

This accommodation is intended for new students and is normally only available for a stay of one semester (16 weeks maximum). Rooms in Halls of Residence are limited, so if you want to apply for one you should do so early.

Students staying in the Halls of Residence will have their own en-suite single room, which usually includes a single bed, desk, cupboard and free broadband internet access. Students share a large self-catering kitchen.

After living in Halls of Residence for one semester, many students find that they have settled into life at Anglia Ruskin University and made friends, and would like to experience off-campus living in Cambridge or Chelmsford.

The cost of a room in the Halls of Residence for one semester varies between GBP£1,750 and GBP£2,150.

CRIC provides a referral service to our preferred off-campus accommodation service providers for new and continuing students wishing to live locally. The service helps CRIC students to source privately rented accommodation within the cities of Cambridge and Chelmsford and close to Anglia Ruskin University.

Once you have accepted an offer to study at CRIC you may then wish to ask us to arrange your accommodation. To reserve your room you will need to complete an Accommodation Form and pay a GBP£800 reservation fee in advance. You must then pay the remaining accommodation cost when you receive your student visa. Places are limited so we recommend you book early to ensure your place and choice of room.
